Have an issue? We are happy to resolve it for you. Our goal is for this process to be easy, straightforward, and quick. Usually, a picture of your product is all that’s needed to determine the issue and move forward. In certain cases, we may ask you to ship the product to us if a photo is insufficient.

To make a warranty claim, contact our Customer Support Team at info@cangshancutlery.com. Include a description of the issue, your original purchase order number, where you purchased it, and photos showing the issue.

You can expect clear communication from us throughout your claim. We’ll confirm receipt, outline your options, and provide tracking for any replacements.

Warning

Cangshan knives are extremely sharp and must be used with care. Any use other than cutting food is considered misuse and voids the warranty. Cangshan is not responsible for injuries caused by misuse or abuse.

Unauthorized Retailers

Some websites and dealers falsely claim to be authorized Cangshan retailers. These include unauthorized Amazon and eBay sellers and some in-store retailers. Products from these sources do not carry our warranty and may be counterfeit, used, or defective. Always purchase from authorized dealers. Everware Inc. is an authorized online retailer. If in doubt, contact info@cangshancutlery.com before buying.

Coverage

Subject to the terms below, Cangshan Cutlery Company (“Cangshan”) warrants that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the lifetime of the original purchaser (the “Coverage Period”).

Warranty

This warranty covers:

• All parts of the product (except exclusions noted below)
• Defects in materials or workmanship under normal culinary use

Exclusions

Cangshan products are durable, but not indestructible. This warranty does not cover:

• Damage (e.g., bent tips, chipped blades, melted handles) caused by:
  • Unauthorized modifications
  • Neglect or accidents
  • Acts of God (fire, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc.)
  • Improper use (cutting frozen foods, coconuts, bones, using on hard surfaces like glass or metal)
  • Dishwasher use or harsh cleaning agents
  • Rust/discoloration due to poor aftercare
  • Improper maintenance
  • Loss or theft
• Wooden components (as wood is naturally sensitive to environmental conditions)
• Sharpening tools and honing steels (abrasive wear is expected)
• Normal wear and tear (dullness, surface marks, corrosion, etc.)

Remedy

If a product or part is found defective under this warranty, Cangshan will repair or replace it at no cost to you. You are responsible for shipping the item to us. Replacements are sent at our expense.

Limitations

This warranty replaces all other express warranties. All implied warranties (including merchantability) are limited to the Coverage Period. Cangshan is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or incidental damages, so these may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights depending on your state.

Care Note

No steel is truly stainless. Prolonged exposure to moisture can cause rust or discoloration. Do not wash knives in the dishwasher. High heat, harsh chemicals, and extended soaking can cause irreversible damage.

Shipping Guidelines

• Wrap knives in newspaper or bubble wrap and place them in a sturdy box.
• Do not include non-Cangshan items (e.g., towels, blade guards)—they will not be returned.
• You are responsible for inbound shipping costs and tracking numbers.
• You assume risk for loss/damage in transit to Cangshan (insurance is recommended).
• Cangshan will cover the return shipping of warranty-covered products.

International Warranty Fulfillment

If you purchased your Cangshan product in the U.S. and have relocated internationally or purchased through Amazon.ca / Amazon.co.eu, you are responsible for shipping, customs, and duties related to warranty fulfillment.
